JACK RUSSELL Says DONALD TRUMP Deserves A Chance To Deliver On His Promises

Former GREAT WHITE and current JACK RUSSELL'S GREAT WHITE singer Jack Russell has weighed in on Donald Trump's presidency based on his first month in the Oval Office. Five weeks after his inauguration, President Trump has seen his approval ratings sag and the political divisions of his election deepen. Asked if he has a positive outlook on the way things are coming along in the United States under President Donald Trump, Jack told Capital Chaos TV: "You know, I'm just going to wait and see. I give everybody a chance. I mean, it's like when Obama got elected, I wasn't over the moon about it, but I'm not the kind of person that's going to rage and preach against him or whatever. I said, 'Let's just see what happens.' See what [Trump] does, give everybody a chance — that's what I say. I mean, whoever is elected president deserves at least a chance to do what they say they're going to do. Either they will or they won't. So that remains to be seen." He continued: "I've heard enough promises from presidents through my whole life. And it seems like they say whatever they want or what they have to to get elected. And when they get elected, they don't do anything they say. But we'll see. I just say give everybody a chance. That's who won the election fair and square, so let's see what he can do. I'm hopeful." Russell added: "We need a government to go back to the people, and if that's what happens, it's really going to be a good thing. Because we've had big government for too long. Those guys just go into Congress and vote: 'I say we give ourselves a raise and others will co-sign that.' And then in the 'yeahs' and 'nays,' everybody says 'yeah.' And we're left with, 'Oh, man. Really?' I wish I could to that. 'I want to raise my guarantees to $10,000 a show.' 'Okay!'" Asked if he — as the owner of a small business — got the "short end of the stick" during the Obama years, Russell said: "Let's just say there was a lot more taxes. It's really hard to have a small business or a small corporation, and with corporate taxes and all that kind of stuff, it's just really hard — for anybody. My hat's off to anybody. You see all these business owners, I've got to raise my hat to them, because I know how hard it is. But, fortunately, I've never worked a day in my life. That's why they call it playing right — playing music, not working music. The ends justify the means." Russell recently said that he "would take" Trump over Hillary Clnton "any day," explaining that Hillary is "just a crook" and insisting that Trump has "the right ideas in mind." The singer went on to say that he didn't vote in the last presidential election due to his "ex-felon" status, but added that if he could have voted, he "would have voted for [Trump]." Russell also slammed the Affordable Care Act, former President Obama's signature health care law, calling it "the biggest piece of crap ever." He explained: "I'm paying fifteen hundred dollars a month for insurance, just for me, and I call up and I go, 'Yeah, I need this prescription. My doctor said it's gonna fix me right up.' 'Oh, that's not on your formula. You can't have that.' I'm, like, why is my insurance company telling me how to treat…? Why are they the ones that are responsible for treating me? It should be a doctor. But they say, 'No, you can't have that.' I'm, like, 'Then what am I paying all this money for?' That's a lot of money for one guy, you know, for insurance for a month. That's a lot of money. It's, like, dude, really? I can make a house payment with that, on a nice house."
